What is the Learning Adventure?
How many times have teachers, parents, other family members, and friends told you that the most important meal of the day is breakfast? Let's take a guess it has been quite a few times! With breakfast being the most important meal of the day, one needs to know how to make healthy choices. What better way to learn about breakfast and omelettes than learning the culture, how to make an omelette, and the beauty of such yummy food! Plus, why not bring a friend to the kitchen and have a fun time making and eating your favorite breakfast food?
In this learning adventure, you will go through the culture of the omelette first. Learning the culture of the food is just as important as learning how to make the omelette. Next, you will dive into the process of making an omelette. You will learn what it takes to make the omelette, how much time it will take to make, and the safety process of cooking in the kitchen! You will create a recipe for your own, personal-touch omelette, learn how to measure the ingredients using fun games, and in the end, learn how to and actually make a yummy omelette! All About Us...
Hey everyone! My name is Maghen Moore and I am one of the creators of this
Learning Adventure. I am a Digital & Broadcast Journalism major at the University
of Georgia. My partner, Sophie, and I chose this topic on the basis of being hungry
in class, constantly, but also because of the culture of food. Culture is a huge basis
on what people eat and we decided to create a Learning Adventure that dives into
the meals and the culture of an omelette. I am also a big fan of cooking healthy,
tasty meals on my own so I am also curious to dive into the culture of yummy foods, too!

Hey everyone! My name is Sophie Van Dresser. I teamed up with Maghen to create this
unique Learning Adventure on how to whip up one of France's classic dishes. I am studying
Communication Sciences & Disorders at the University of Georgia. When presented with this
assignment topic, Maghen and I knew we wanted to center our project around a culinary
creation. Food and cooking is a passion of mine that I embrace every day. I learned about
the importance of practicing healthy eating as well as all the unique ways to express yourself
through cooking while growing up in a food loving family. I'm excited to develop a technological
lesson plan that can be used to inspire and educate students!
